This OEM component is a part of the carriage travel limit sensor system in the Belanger Kondor automatic car wash system. An NPN proximity sensor is a type of electronic sensor that detects the presence of an object without physical contact, and it outputs a low-level signal (grounding) when it detects a target. Essentially, it acts like a switch that closes to ground when an object is near.
