Nog Hair, sometimes shortened to Noghair, brushes use special synthetic nylon bristles that mimic the feel and performance of hogs hair. As you may have guessed, the name comes from combining the words "nylon" and "hogs hair."

Genuine hogs hair, also referred to as boars hair, is generally considered the best brush for car wash and auto detailing as far as performance. The bristles are incredibly soft, hold foam, and maintain their shape for a long time. Plus, they have naturally feathered ends that prevent avoid scratching, spread cleaning product, and provide excellent overall cleaning ability.

The trouble with hogs hair brushes is that these bristles are increasingly difficult to source, which drives up the price of the brushes. Although they are fantastic for their purpose, many operators do not want to pay the upfront cost or deal with the potential problem of their preferred brush being out of stock.
