If you’re in the market for fittings, the right fittings which will help your express wash run smoothly, consider the many high-pressure brass fittings we offer in our lineup. Brass is a superb choice for any fitting given its inherent durability as well as its electrical resistance. And because brass is quite malleable and forgiving to work with, it can be neatly shaped to a specific hose or pipe, creating a leak-free connection. Brass is even non-corrosive, allowing your fittings to stay rust free even after many hours in the rigorous environment of an express wash tunnel.
So, which brass fitting is right for you? We have barstock fittings, garden hose fittings, grease fittings, and whatever else you may be looking for. Whether you’re trying to replace old fittings or need to order a new set, we think you’ll be pleased with the options found in our lineup. Check out our may product pages to learn about the specifications and features of a particular high-pressure brass fitting. Also available is our support team, who you can call with any questions!
Brass and copper are two of the most common metals used for plumbing fittings because of their durability and value. As they're somewhat similar in nature, people also frequently have trouble deciding between the two for their fittings. So, it's good to have some understanding of their characteristics.
Both offer excellent corrosion resistance, although brass will corrode when used with salt water. Brass usually has small amounts of aluminum, tin, copper, zinc, while copper has few impurities. Visually, brass has a brighter golden appearance while copper has a reddish-brown look.
Industrial applications will choose brass over copper for a few different reasons. First, brass is stronger than copper, so it can withstand higher PSI pressure levels. Second, brass is a soft metal despite its strength, so it adapts to the pipe or other fitting inserted into it to create tight, secure connections. Lastly, brass has a much wider temperature range versus copper. Brass can be used from about -65° Fahrenheit to 250° Fahrenheit, while copper is restricted to about 32° Fahrenheit to 200° Fahrenheit.
